My P90X Story
The program that changed it all for me. I started P90X in the summer of 2007 after heading out on tour 50 lbs overweight. I was 45 years old, accepting that this is what happens when you become middle age. Hey, look around… everybody else seemed to be in my position.
But I called my old buddy Tony Horton who I’d known since 1983, had as my personal trainer in 1989 through 1991… begged for help and he said, “Just do P90X. It’s so much of what we used to do…” he said, “Just follow this… stick to it for 90 days and your life will change.” He was right.
I transformed from 50 lbs overweight, (obese category), into an elite level of fitness. I hadn’t felt that great since I could remember. I went from feeling like my life and health were deteriorating to the future looking very bright.
It’s amazing, seriously… to go from feeling like I was looking at the other side of a mountain, looking down, to climbing a new one. I used to laugh when I’d hear stories of guys my age being able to play with their children and chase them around… but then one day I was able to.
I can’t tell you how much this has changed my life and how much I look toward the future. Imagine that… I’ll be 50 in April of 2012 and I’m LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!
