Going for a run in Davenport

Davenport, hmmmmm, my grandmother used to call the sofa a davenport.  Wonder where that came from?  Nevertheless, it’s October here in Davenport and I’m going to get off the sofa, in Davenport, or, get off the davenport in Davenport, or sofa, or, MAN, I’m so confused!

The point is, it’s time for a run.  Well into week 3 of the buildup round for P90X2.  I’ve preordered it and am on the warpath to be crazy ripped and ready when it ships by Christmas.  All in the plan of turning 50 in April.  Ok, I’ve goofed around enough… the good news is that since 2007 I’ve kept my fitness level up to make the breaks short lived and not that tough to get back on track.

I remember the days when I’d fall off the wagon and just disintegrate… amazing how I used to mentally wail on myself.  Now THAT’S productive!

So here we go… there is a beautiful October day outside and I’m gonna get IN IT!  Let’s go… J

Isn’t October a beautiful month in so many ways…yes the weather is extra nice, the skies are fall blue and something about the air that puts that extra spark in your step! One think it also reminds me of is October is when we first met in El Paso in 2007, who says you can’t solve the world’s problems over coffee! well maybe not all of them but we did start something great. I remember you use to speak of wanting a website then that had ALL the things you were interested in and look how that has evolved:) Best thing I ever heard from you in the beginning was: “I’m going to get in shape. Will you come along with me? You don’t have to necessarily work out with me but follow along!” haaaaaaaa and I never looked back after that cause I jumped in and it’s been such a ride that sometimes when I hear a Chi song I have to pinch myself and say “Did that really happen!!!” It’s amazing how once you started sharing your life, the wealth of information that we learned and still learn and share, there is no pricetag for that, no bandaids for us or turkey burgers every night! It STILL motivates me to “connect” with us all. Anyways enough of my rant, just some thoughts that came to mind on this beautiful October day. I’m going to go get IN IT! see ya J
