The Life and Times of Jason Scheff

How To Win Friends and Influence People

After reading this book I finally felt not only what it feels like but the benefit of putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes.  The real irony of it all is that when I do that, everybody wins.

It’s also amazing to me that, as Jim Rohn puts it, “There are no new fundamentals! If anybody says they have the new fundamental, run…”

This stuff has been around for a very long time.  The basics.  Put ourselves in the other person’s shoes… find out what *they* need and want and watch the magic happen.

I avoided reading this book because I thought the title was manipulative.  I didn’t think I had a problem making friends and the thought of influencing people sounded, as I said, manipulative.

Couldn’t be farther from the truth.  Have a peek by clicking the image above to read an excerpt, and again, if you want to feel your blood pressure go down immediately, relax a bit, read this book. The companion to it is another Dale Carnegie book called “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”.  Both of these books are essentials.
