Learning to ASK and WHY we do…
by on March 5, 2013 in Miscellaneous

What an inspiring bit of speak here… She hits so many things that resonate for me… For one, when she says that “Celebrity” is being *removed* from people…  I've never really wanted that… or at least as a kid dreaming of becoming a “Rockstar” someday, maybe that seemed like something to shoot for…

But once I started getting in front of a lot of people I realized that wasn't me at all.  I've always LOVED connecting with the people… LONG before it was fashionable!

I remember having an account online in the early 90's and connecting with fans… they quickly became friends because that just didn't equate for me.  To be removed.

The other thing she talks about that really hits home with me is how to take the art to the people, without jumping to the question of “How do I make money selling the music?”  For me?  That question has killed the music SO MANY TIMES.  That's why I've gone in completely different directions… aligning myself with great companies and products I can attach my music to.

So I'd like to thank all the folks who've been on this wonderful ride with me and to know that jumping on the “Scheffy” express has a masterplan.  Believe me… you're all helping build something and as it develops… you have been the early adopters!  I'll never forget it!

Rock on Amanda Palmer!  (and I haven't heard one note of her music yet!)  Jason

  1. Go ahead Jason you are the number one best wishes

  2. Hi Jason! Always good to read your writings your thoughts, I’ve missed them. Lucky for me the singer musician I zoomed in on from the moment you took the stage with Chicago likes to connect with his fans and not be removed. And that’s exactly what my first thoughts of you were initially before we met “-this guy was 23 rock star charmed life what does he want, who is he”
and now our lives have been better for all of it, the power of the human connection! Glad I have been a part of it and that you are who you are:) luv ya Rosey
